The Highlights

Clay Nation and Charles Hoskinson were given a shout-out in Snoop Dogg and Champ Medici's latest song Bron & Bronny on the album Death Row Summer 2022. Champ Medici is also inviting any Claymates that want to make a special appearance in his upcoming music video. For holders of Baked Nation pitch NFTs, each Baked Nation pitch NFT will be updated to reflect the commercial ownership of 1 of 3 original tracks released this year.

Charles Hoskinson founder of Cardano was formally invited by the US Congress Committee of Agriculture to talk about Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. It will be broadcast live over Youtube on June 23rd, at 2:30 PM UTC for everyone to watch. Since the Agriculture Committee has authorized the CFTC to regulate the commodity futures trading sphere, this might be a game-changer for Cardano as ADA is being treated as securities or "ancillary assets" while Bitcoin and Ethereum are identified as commodities.

Equine fans were delighted to see previews of the upcoming horse racing game UI last weekend. The excitement translated into a rising floor price and higher volume for the Equine project, which sits at ₳380 for horses and total volume of nearly ₳2M.

ADA Army NFT gave out ADA rewards to its holders last week. A large collector received a whopping 438 ADA for holding a total of 290 ADA Army NFTs. This is just one of the many rewards holders can look forward to but they have previously distributed royalty rewards and NFT airdrops.

Derp Birds has just dropped their Lite paper, which includes details on their $DERP token and gamified roadmap. You can earn $DERP by staking, unlocking achievements and just being an active community member in their discord. Many things to look forward to such as Staking Academy, $DERP Exchange and Prize Counter where you can spend $DERP on raffles entries to earn NFTs.

Eikonikos held an AMA with Mint City yesterday where they reiterated their commitment to the project and discussed next steps. The team answered questions and revealed exciting developments, such as working with an international designer on their clothing drop and rewarding collectors of all Passport tiers.

All-time-high sale remains at ₳9.5k but just as this is being written (Monday), another large sale of ₳8k for a Diamond Passport was recorded.

Ran Neuner host of CNBC Crypto Trader and founder of Crypto Banter has once again got himself into the spotlight. His latest YouTube live riled up the Cardano community after a guest called Charles Hoskinson a priest and Cardano a religion.

Bajuzki Studios partnered up with Disco Solaris for their next burn-to-mint collaboration. Their previous burn-to-mint collaboration with Ada Ninjaz had a 1k supply and sold out within 48 hours. The next collab will only be a supply of 500 with an expected release date of July.

Lunatics, a duck pfp CNFT project is generating hype and followers by trolling big names on Twitter. They even caught the attention of Fahadouken and Deezy by adding their traits to the art.

#BURNBAYC is trending following a YouTube documentary covering a growing conspiracy theory about the founders' alleged alt-right internet trolling. Although not a new theory, it seems to be gaining more steam than ever and some wonder if Jimmy Fallon removing his BAYC as a pfp on Monday might be due to this trend.

Market Analysis

The downtrend continues for the CNFT market with volume dropping 46% over the past 7 days and average 24-hour volume approaching a modest ₳500k. It's become clear that this bear market is here to stay.

The silver lining is that most established projects are not experiencing significant decrease in floor price (in ADA terms). In fact, many projects continue to build and increase in value, such as Old Money, Space Pugs Alpha, Pitches by Clay Nation, Equine, and others. Perhaps most of the panic-sellers have exited the market and we're left with collectors who are happy to HODL or even buy during these bearish periods.

Investment Opportunity: Cabins by The Ape Society

The Ape Society is truly on its way to become a CNFT blue chip, ranking 7th in all-time volume or 6th when including their Cabins collection. So not only does it carry limited risk, but with exciting milestones coming up, it now also presents a particularly good investment opportunity.

With staking of Cabins going live soon, I suspect the secondary market will reflect the excitement and supply shock in the form of higher floor price.

Artist: Frank Hampus

Frank is a Plutus pioneer, an entrepreneur, and a digital artist. He is the creator of Atomic Swap, a P2P trading solution similar to Trading Tent.

As an artist, he's mostly unknown to Cardano NFT collectors despite having released some great quality generative work. Check out his latest collection, MOTION on JPG.store.

Through DMs, I have confirmed that he is currently working on a new collection that should become available in the near future.

Thor's Thoughts

The degen NFT project's road to moon is difficult to define and analyze but I will try my best here.

To the moon? 🤑 At its core, any new NFT project drop represents a financial opportunity for buyers. They might just mint that rare 1:1 worth thousands or this could become the next project to moon. The financial motivation and incentives overpower anything else.

Now what? 🤔 Soon after mint, the project enters the next phase of the lifecycle; fighting irrelevancy. Even for the most successful projects with fast sellouts and strong communities, like Derp Birds, this becomes a difficult battle. Executing on the roadmap becomes a priority and the project remains relevant if it does that well.

Bigger than NFTs 🌍 As the project keeps updating and delivering on its promises and roadmap milestones, it needs to grow into something larger than a simple NFT collection. It needs to establish itself as a brand. It needs to represent something more than jpegs and offer something more than occasional airdrops, fan art contests, and updated roadmaps.

Make history 👑 If done correctly, the project has now established itself in the NFT space as a force to be reckoned with. Not only does it offer intangible value in the form of community and emotional attachment, but it also offers concrete value represented in higher NFT prices and utility for holders. Wearing merch from this project says something about your personality but also flexes your wealth. The project is here to stay and has arrived to the moon.
