The Highlights

Happy 4th of July to all USA subscribers! As an American who received his citizenship last year, I took the day off to celebrate with family. But the CNFT space doesn't take breaks, so instead of completely cancelling the brew, enjoy this brief Espresso version with some of the major highlights.

SpaceBudz, an OG project in Cardano known to most Cardano fans, is facing serious allegations regarding the art that was commissioned for the project. Alessandro, co-founder of SpaceBudz and creator of Nami wallet, is launching an investigation into these allegations. The news spurred a heated debate on Twitter over stolen art and outsourced work.

Cardano Island by the Virtua metaverse project received some criticism following the release of their upcoming land sale prices. The community seems to be upset about the price, but Joshua Miller has tweeted that there will be some changes.

Free Mints get all the hype. Everyone loves free stuff, and that became abundantly clear during the Cats on Chain NFT launch last week. The project sold out fast and has been doing particularly well on the secondary market. Others seem to be quickly following in their footsteps, some of which are listed below.

The Vasil hardfork was launched successfully on the Cardano testnet. The mainnet upgrade will come 4 weeks later along with Cardano's stable coin DJED.

Minswap Labs, a Cardano DEX, released a new feature that enables liquidity providers of the $MIN and $ADA pair to farm and collect their ADA staking rewards.

Fort Gotten, a Cardano NFT project with a lot of history and successful mints, announced an 8-week collaboration mint with 8 different projects from multiple chains, including Tezos and Vechain. Each drop only has a limited supply of 100 NFTs. The 1st drop, a Yummi Universe collaboration, sold out fast due to the low supply and cost.

Zombie Chains impress with their final Trading Card, inspired by SpaceBudz. Although the timing could have been better, considering the current SpaceBudz FUD, it is hard to argue against the quality of this original artwork by the talented Brian Allen.
