NFTs minted on Cardano have officially surpassed the 5 million mark.

SpaceBudz announced that holders can now give their Budz an identity, including a name, Urbit ID, Discord username or email address. You can also add a theme color that will be applied to both the nickname and pfp itself.

The project also saw a large Elephant sale yesterday for a cool ₳67,250k

Eikonikos continues to build excitement and hype for its upcoming metaverse land sale. They recently announced public mint registration and mint dates, which has currently received well over 3,000 retweets. They are currently receiving the highest Twitter engagement of any project on Cardano.

The team also sat down with CardanoThor (me) to discuss the origins, current state, and future of the project in a YouTube interview released yesterday.

Yummi Universe announced their $Yummi partnership program and followed it up with several exciting partnerships with projects and companies in the CNFT space. This only adds to the excitement holders felt yesterday as the floor price of the Naru collection skyrocketed to ₳1k.

Earth Natives revealed the house that they built and donated. The project’s mission from the beginning has been to raise funds to build a house for a person in need.

Pavia announced that their BuilderTool is on track to be released in June. They also included a call-to-action to join their testing cohort to help give feedback on the tool moving forward.

Claypez has apologized for copying parts of the Chilled Kongs roadmap in a recent announcement. According to their statement, their hired designer took too many liberties with the examples they provided them, which included the Chilled Kongs roadmap.

Patrick Tobler, founder of NFT-Maker, has been outspoken about his long-term vision for purchasing NFTs. He envisions a world where anyone can buy an NFT from any chain, with any crypto.

Another step towards accessibility is offering a solution that allows people to buy NFTs with a credit card. Apparently, this is coming soon to NFT-Maker.

Photographer Jason Matias is holding an unprecedented auction for his piece "Eigengrau", which ends in approximately 17 hours. The piece (or pieces), auctioned on Artano, will only be revealed to the buyer after the purchase has been made. See below Twitter thread for the concept and thinking behind Eigengrau and its relatively high starting price of ₳30K.

Several projects have been thrown into the Twitter hype machine recently, some seemingly out of nowhere. MarsBirds in particular took the CNFT space by storm and impressed the community with their in-house multi-sig minter and the ridiculously low ₳8 mint price.

At the other end of the spectrum, Deck of Dark Dreams sold out its much smaller art collection with a price tag of ₳450.

Perhaps the most established of these projects is Dead Rabbit Resurrection Society, but they dropped a new Node Key in LA, Seattle, Miami, and Manchester last week. Finally, The Mallard Order has been growing fast with over 6k followers on Twitter and over 5k members on Discord.

Trading Tent announced that they are officially out of Beta after a significant security update. The platform, which offers a live p2p trading solution, also teased an exciting partnership with Yummi Universe yesterday.

CNFT.tools is now featuring a calendar section on their website, giving an overview of upcoming drops from participating projects.

NANO Frames announced the release of their Pixl.page solution, an alternative to pool.pm that allows collectors to any part or all of their NFT collections without any other information about their wallet address.

PAINS announced the mint date for their upcoming PARAPAINS collection: June 10th.

Ugly Bros announced that they will release their whitepaper tomorrow, June 1st. Although fans already know about vague upcoming milestones, such as Ugly Potions and merch, they are excited to find further details outlined in the whitepaper.

SinderSkullz airdropped their collaboration NFTs to holders last week. The Goat Tribe collaboration pieces were well received by the community, but for each 5 Sinder Skullz held, one would get 1 Sinder Goatz.

Deft Punk Art Club has been recognized in the area of fine art CNFTs but is now expanding to the generative scene with its Cyclombies collection.

J.Leitão is a traditional artist who is releasing his unique "Hand" collection on Cardano today. Only 52 hands exist and the mint price is 150 ada.

Petbot is a collection of pets and bots on Cardano. The collection has over a hundred unique pet traits and 200 bot bases.

Cornucopias is one of the largest and most highly anticipated metaverse projects on Cardano. After months of development, they are finally launching their land sale this Friday. To ensure fairness, they have implemented a tiered minting system that takes different land plots and user priorities into consideration (see image below). Their pricing system is also unique in the sense that they have only released the price in USD, i.e. "$102 worth of ADA".

Raison D'etre is a unique project that claims to combine "conceptual and philosophical ideas, expressed through 3D visuals and story narrations." The project has quickly received attention and praise for their high-quality previews and exciting collaborations with established projects, such as Disco Solaris and Pendulum.

EIKONIKOS is one of the most hyped NFT projects on Cardano currently. They have done a fantastic job marketing and creating quality previews of their upcoming NFT assets. This week, they are dropping their Genesis Passports, which will give holders numerous benefits, including free NFTs and free metaverse land plots.

Ad3V1s is a project you might be familiar with. The project has been in development since September of last year, when their first preview image received a lot of attention and hype on Twitter. It is finally time for the project to launch its 1st drop of cyberpunk cyborgs.

Here is where I list all projects that are not minting this week but are already on my radar. New additions in bold.

Market Analysis

Despite continual decline in the price of ada and rough crypto markets, CNFT volume has stayed strong over the past couple of weeks. We are up 11% over the past 7 days with an impressive ₳2.4 million ada day last Tuesday. ADA has even taken a break from its usual downtrend with a healthy 20% pump over the past 24 hours.

Not only was CNFT volume up but many projects experienced a significant floor price increase, including Yummis, Society.25, MarsBirds, Adanauts, and many more.

Although Chilled Kongs tops the 30-day volume chart, both Aquafarmers and Salty Seagulls Society delivered impressive numbers and took 3rd and 1st place on the 7-day chart respectively.

Underrated

These are this week’s most underrated investment opportunities and artists. This is a highly subjective section so please DYOR

Some of my previous blue chip picks are still relevant and would be my choice today if I hadn't picked them already, including Clay Nation, Yummi, and others. Check out my undervalued picks from previous issues.

Investment Opportunity: JAR Heads

With a strong community and an iconic collection that marked the beginning of the art pfp trend in 2022, JAR Heads offers a solid investment opportunity at current prices. The collection had previously bounced off the ₳110 floor price and is now sitting just above that, or at ₳115.

It's difficult to see this project losing much more value considering that there are no expectations of a roadmap or future developments. Most holders bought a JAR Head for other reasons, such as for the community, collector's value, or simply for the art.

One of the true OG creators on Cardano, Chaotic Mathematics started with his mandelbulb collection and focus on mathematical art but later ventured into high quality abstract animations.

The artist is not doxxed so there is limited information about the artist other than what has been documented about his work on Cardano. In an interview with Tyler (withspaces), Chaotic Mathematics goes into detail about how his work is created and the mathematical theory behind it.

So whether you appreciate math, quality art, historical NFTs, or everything above, you will most likely find Chaotic Mathematics' work undervalued. See more of his work on his Instagram page.

On a personal note, I have some positive nostalgic feelings associated with his work since his "Collection 1 - Hector" was one of the first NFTs I minted on Cardano at the end of August 2021.

Thor's Thoughts

Humans are not designed to be happy or content. Anthropologically speaking, those who always had the urge to want more to improve their situation had the best chances of survival and passed on their genes.

Believe it or not, degens are humans and are therefore no exception. We can't be happy with what we already have in the NFT space either. Once a roadmap has been followed to its conclusion, it no longer matters. All that now matters is the next "wen". A project that has not delivered anything yet can be more valuable than one that has delivered everything for this reason. It's the power of hope and speculation.

This is why the most valuable projects in the CNFT space are "utility" projects that have big ambitious goals with timelines that span years rather than months or weeks. People buy into the ambition and promises, not necessarily reality.

But what happens when the metaverse is ready? What happens when the P2E game is up and running? Although I'm sure there will be a handful of big winners that find sustainable growth, many projects will collapse when there is no next "wen".
